| Dear Netters, | | Can you kindly suggest what cause solder splash in IR reflow boards ?? What are the main causes normally ?? | | | Best Rgds, | Felix | Felix - we need a better description of what it looks like. If it's a spray, usually balls, originating from a definable point it's probably a paste problem. If your paste dries out on the surface of the deposition and forms a crust pressure will build up inside when the flux volitalizes during reflow. When it erupts you get a spray. 1. old, dry paste 2. too long between paste deposition and reflow 3. bad profile |
