 Overview:

6G technology will change our world to a whole new level of connectedness and use of artificial intelligence.  This talk explains what 6G is, the changes it will bring, plus discusses the impact of the new technologies on electronics manufacturing.  There will be challenges in the design and manufacture of 6G electronics, with new materials, pushing or breaking of design rules and innovative processes required.  The opportunities will come as the factory of the future vision becomes reality.

 About the Presenter:

Julie Silk is a Program Manager for Keysight Technologies. She manages Keysight’s compliance with EU RoHS, materials reliability investigations plus Keysight's engagements with electronics manufacturing and reliability consortia.  Julie is VP of Technical Programs for SMTA, Chair of the Board for HDP User Group, Technical Committee Chair for iNEMI and General Chair of the Product Reliability committee for IPC.  She has had a focus on printed circuit assembly design, quality, reliability and supplier development.   She has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington and has worked for Hewlett-Packard / Agilent Technologies / Keysight Technologies for over 40 years.    She also is dedicated to encouraging young women to enter engineering fields through Keysight’s Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day and as president of the non-profit Expanding Your Horizons Sonoma County.
