REGIONAL MANAGER, CANADA
Manages and directs sales and service operations for a Universal regional office. Directs sales force in identifying and developing new and existing customer accounts in order to increase market share, improve profitability, and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. Manages field engineering group to provide installation, training, warranty, maintenance, and techni-
cal support services to Universal equipment and systems customers.
Participates in developing sales and service strategy and tactics for Americas operations. Implements specific customer tactical plans within the region to meet established goals.
Directs and motivates Sales Engineers to achieve bookings goals.
Coaches and supports Sales Engineers in diagnosing customer requirements, preparing and presenting Universal proposals and quotes to customers based on specific needs.
Coordinates product division, field engineering, training and other support unit resources to meet special customer technical or service require-ments.
Determines appropriate sales and service staffing
requirements for regional operations.
Accompanies customers on visits to Universal and existing customer facilities to demonstrate Universal SMT equipment and systems.
Monitors customer satisfaction using surveys, reports, and customer visits. Implements specific corrective action plans as required.
Prepares regional sales forecast and budgets. Maintains effective cost control of regional operations.
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field and five to seven years management experience in electronics industry required. Prior SMT/surface mount automated machinery sales and service responsibility required. Masters degree in Business Administration desirable. Demonstrated problem analysis and problem solving ability is required. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Good verbal and written skills and the ability to make effective presentations to Universal personnel and customers. Bi-lingual language skills required; English with French language skills preferred.
