Senior Electrical Engineer/Engineering Leader
Job Description:
In this position you will be a hands-on leader for the design and development of analog and digital hardware and software for Lutron's state-of-the-art energy management focused lighting control systems. While working on your own design projects, you will lead a group of electrical engineers responsible for start to finish product development. You will lead project teams and work closely with team members from Engineering, Sales/Marketing, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality, and Accounting/Finance to carry the product from the original design concepts through manufacturing. This involves obtaining customer input, concept generation, research and development, rapid prototyping, introducing new products to our manufacturing facilities, product launch to the customer, and continued monitoring of products in the marketplace. Importantly, you will also be a technical and professional mentor to less senior electrical engineers and interns.
Job Requirements:
You will need a BS EE or MS EE and a minimum of 8 years of experience in electronic circuitry design including analog and digital hardware. Power electronics and RF experience is a strong advantage. Familiarity with embedded code and higher level software languages for GUI development is a plus. You will need excellent leadership and communication skills, including the ability to convince people with your ideas. You must be able to work effectively with people in a team oriented environment. Previous supervisory experience is required.
