Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier Quality Engineer � Acts as the liaison between the plant and supplier regarding component/production material quality issues. Coordinates and evaluates responses/actions from suppliers and implements permanent quality corrections. Interfaces with local and corporate materials teams, and corporate supplier quality in supplier development activities. Provides information necessary for enforcement of global supply base management activities. Ensures that all production-critical supplier issues are resolved in a timely fashion by implementing corrective actions. � Selects appropriate inspection plans for the supplier quality inspection function in ERP system. Interfaces with, and gives informal direction to, Supplier Quality Inspectors. � Aids in developing policies/procedures for the supplier quality engineering area. Ensures policies/procedures are in conformance with ISO and any applicable customer requirements. � Aids in developing the Supplier Reporting Data Base as well as inputting/maintaining supplier performance data real-time metrics for the database. � Performs supplier audits as necessary in compliance with recognized standards (ISO-9000, QS-9000, TL-9000, TS-16949, etc.). � Reviews supplier part approval submission documentation (PPAP or other) � Performs other related duties, as assigned. Requirements: � BS Engineering � Five years experience in a SQE role within an electronics manufacturing environment.
