Surface Mount Mfg Process Engineer

This position will have primary responsibility to develop, document, implement and maintain assembly processes for improved yield and process efficiency within Quality System requirements. We are looking for a multitask and organized individual with sound electronic manufacturing background who has the ability to work in a fast paced dynamic manufacturing environment. Comprehensive knowledge and expertise with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) automated assembly operation is required. Good understanding of solder paste and flux chemistry and ability to generate and monitor air convection oven profiles for production and rework processes. Must have good knowledge of IPC standards, x-ray / inspection equipment, CNC machinery and tooling / fixture design. Requirements: - Engineering Degree BSME, BSIE / and or equivalent - Minimum 5 years of experience as a Surface Mount Manufacturing Engineer - Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required - Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, Power Point and CAD - Ability to initiate projects from prototype through development to full production - Knowledge of Panasonic / Quad pick and place machine and programming is a plus
