About Product Operations:
Product Operations is part of Global Supply Chain Management (Global
Manufacturing) and is responsible for New Product Introduction and Product Life
Cycle Management from Manufacturing and Supply Operations perspective. The
product Operations team gets engaged with the Design Engineering teams very
early in the development process and are responsible for the the NPI activities
and also support the Products, till the end of Life.
New Product Program Manager or Program Manager:
Requirements
Education: Graduate in Electronics or Electronics & communications
Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 8 years
Industry & Background:
o Should have worked in Electronic Hardware Manufacturing
Industry.
o Knowledge of PCBA Manufacturing , Supply Chain and NPI
process (Mandatory)
o Manufacturing / NPI Program Management (Mandatory)
o Knowledge of Product development process from concept to launch
phase.
o Cross functional Team Management experience (Mandatory)
Others:
o Individual contributor position
o Flexibility to various time zones is important
o Position based in Bangalore
o Should have worked for MNC companies
Job Description:
High Level Role Description:
The New Product Program Manager is the accountable team leader for overall
coordination of product line introduction with heavy emphasis on all development
activities from pre-CC to TTQV
High Level Responsibilities:
� Engages with the CDO product team prior to concept commit to scope
project and create robust project plan.
� Manages the lifecycle of the product from pre-concept commit to Time to
Quality and Volume, insuring compliance to all the defined quality gates
� Accountable for overall scope, cost, quality, and delivery for program
� Leads manufacturing cross-functional team to insure that performance
metrics for scope, cost, quality and TTM are met.
� Create and implement action plan and fulfillment strategy with the
integrated product team based on input received from engineering and
marketing
� Drive prototype and pilot builds, including cost and quality expectations
� Reviews and influences manufacturing capacity / capability, design
stability, risk planning
� Oversees and prioritizes risk mitigation strategies (multi-source tech
assessment, component, cost variance, supply chain review and input)
� Change Management
� Compliance
� Execution of Supply Chain
� Actively seeks and incorporates best practices and results from postproject
assessments into new products
� Partners with CDO to resolve issues that may impede project objectives.
� Key Interfaces: Supply chain Program manager, Product engineer, Central
development organization, Quality engineer, Test Development Manager
