Job Description:

Are you a highly motivated sales hunter looking for a new opportunity?  Are you tired of just being a number within a large organization and want the creativity and support of a small privately owned company?  If so, we are looking to expand our sales team and want to talk to you. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for finding new business opportunities and winning new programs. Our collaborative and supportive Management team provides the tools needed to develop new design business and transfer that business into long lasting manufacturing relationships to provide you with both personal and corporate success.

The BDM is responsible for aggressively pursuing EMS opportunities, both design and assembly, to secure competitive business, increase market share and foster organic growth. The BDM is responsible to identify, qualify and close new business and engage appropriate resources from cross-functional teams to convert and retain a satisfied customers with repeat business.  Personal success will be measured by meeting or exceeding the sales forecasts. Additional responsibilities include managing the quote and proposal process to ensure internal resources have the required information to provide an accurate and timely response to the customer.  The BDM will follow up with active quotes and provide feedback information to Management to secure second chance opportunities if needed.  The BDM will be required to regularly update our CRM system with customer profile information, new open or lost opportunities, call logs and action plans.

Prefer someone to be located at our Appleton, WI facility.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA or BS degree
  • Minimum 10+ years sales experience successfully exceeding forecasts
  • Experience in EMS industry with background in manufacturing and/or engineering sales
  • Proven experience in successfully developing sales opportunities and closing business deals
  • Solid understanding of business development process for low to mid volume, high mix customers in industrial, medical, military, food and beverage, agriculture and IoT market segments
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, interpersonal and closing skills
  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and organize teams
  • Overnight travel as required
