SMT Engineer - Global Automotive Safety Systems

I am currently working on behalf of a Global Leader in Automotive Safety Systems based in the County Durham area of the UK. They are currently seeking to recruit an SMT Engineer whose main duties and responsibilities will compromise of the following. - Strong participant in cross functional team supporting manufacturing - Develop, program, maintain and improve all SMT processes. - Optimise setup/programs to improve equipment effectiveness - Analyse yield of SMT processes to ensure process capabilities and throughput - Analyse SMT defects to determine likely failure modes - Design/Development of new tooling for new/existing processes. - Knowledge of lean manufacturing including poke-yoke, kaizen & one piece flow an advantage. Candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge of solder printing, placement, solder reflow, wave/selective solder, design for manufacture and assembly/new product introduction. Qualified to HNC/HND standard.
