The Senior PCB Designer will be a key contributor to the growth of Trackonomy Systems’s product portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding product requirements, component identification and design qualification.
• Creating PCB schematics from concept or initial design ideas
• Designing PCB Layouts for R&D prototypes and for production specimens
• Maintaining parts libraries for in house layout and PCB design toolset
• Working in close collaboration with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers on prototype designs
• Working with the Manufacturing team on DFM's to release products into Mass Production
• Working with the RF and Antenna design teams to integrate complex RF layout solutions
• Gather cost, size, dielectric constant, dielectric loss, temperature and certification specifications for a library of candidate PCB board materials
• Adhering the designs to Industry Standard guidelines and engineering best practices
• Releasing PCB and PCBA documentation into the Document Control system
• Maintaining PCB and PCBA changes, issues / resolutions as well as hardware versioning
• Modifying the layout and associated documentation as part of Sustaining Engineering
• Following periodic design review and layout review routines
• Release board design packages including BOM, schematic and layouts
• Coordinating with the PCB house to aid the design transition and manage its fabrication
• Participating in the Phased product development and gated releases
• Adherence to timelines and efficient execution of development projects
• Keeping updated on the latest trends and layout tools

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 6 years' experience in layout of complex multilayer PCBs
• Proficiency in using Eagle / Altium / Cadence or similar layout packages and design tools
• Experience creating layouts, BOMs and release documentation for manufacturing
• Working knowledge of differential pairs, controlled impedance traces, routing techniques to ensure signal integrity, impedance matching and EMI mitigation
• Knowledge and design experience of Stripline, CPW, Microstrip, differential pair and other transmission lines for board design requirements
• Expertise with PCB design rules, generating and maintaining libraries, and familiarity with fabrication and assembly processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Educational Qualifications:
BS / Masters degree in Electrical Engineering.
(Masters is preferred)
