DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Provided engineering support for Delta IV and Atlas post cure operations. Maintenance of shop floor procedure documentation and operating instructions. Coordinate with tooling fabrication to meet design criteria specified by customer. Perform liaison duties in coordination with customer design engineers, materials group, tooling and shop floor to ensure parts are built to print. Create entire Inspection Procedure system for Atlas Boattail. Appointed as sole post cure engineering representative on Configuration Control Board to approve proposed design changes for all parts in plant, ensuring feasibility of design, cost and schedule impacts, and plant capability to perform work. Utilize troubleshooting skills to aid shop floor technicians with manufacturing difficulties.
Blueprint reading, GD&T, Unigraphics, Interacted with assembly shops for extensive repairs at detail and assembly level. Write authorized repairs for defects involving industrial coatings, chemical treatments, penetrant and ultrasonic inspection rejections, surface conditions, heat treatments.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Minimum 5 yrs experience in the manufacturing and assembly of graphite composite structures.
BSME or related engineering field and/or equivalent experience in related field
Must have working knowledge of graphite/epoxy component layup, cure, machining, and assembly.
Familiarity with machining, pattern cutting, autoclave operation, and large gas ovens
Experience with tool development/manufacturing procedures/work instructions for sandwich composite structures
Experience with laser projection systems Experience in the manufacture of aircraft components a plus, but not required.
Demonstrated experience in the use of statistical process control (SPC)
Requires excellent computer skills
Requires good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle changing priorities in a fast paced environment
Position is in Iuka, Mississippi � tri-state area (Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi) � relocation is negotiable.

Provide technical support for new product process development and proposal input
Responsible for process readiness prior to operations start
Technical interface with customers on design and manufacturing issues
Provide technical input to all customer required reviews
Responsible for meeting manufacturing build schedules
