Job Description:

Responsibilities: The Process Engineering manager is responsible for the following: Control, accuracy, and use of manufacturing processes and assembly equipment used in manufacturing; Ensuring that the processes used meet all customer and RMS specifications, environmental, regulatory and safety needs; Facilities, calibration, and equipment maintenance; Maintain a system to monitor and control spare and replacement parts inventory and identifying/scheduling all preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment used within the facility for manufacturing; General building maintenance, security, cleaning, heating and cooling; Developing and maintaining operational standards and practices for the department within the facility, including adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO 2000 requirements; Identifying jobs, positions, and skills required within the department, and the staffing and training of personnel to support the department and its responsibilities; Developing and monitoring the measurements of departmental performance, and conducting annual employee performance reviews; Assisting in the planning of and adherence to the department�s capital equipment budget, and the department�s personnel and operating budget; Ensure that project costs including labor, materials, tooling are within quoted project costs within the department. This is a technical managerial position requiring extensive knowledge in the field of electronics, electronic assembly methods, soldering and cleaning processes, project and personnel management. This position reports to the VP of Engineering and will also have direct reports. Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required or demonstration of equivalent competency. Five or more years of experience in electronic assembly or contract manufacturing are required. An understanding of �Design For Manufacturing� practices is required. Two years of supervising personnel experience is required. Successful candidates must possess leadership and motivational skills. They must also be able to effectively communicate through oral and written methods. Project management skills and the ability to manage several projects concurrently are required. Problem solving skills and creative thinking are required. Experience or financial training in the use of a balance sheet and profit/loss statement is preferred.
