Field Service Engineer

Rehm USA LLC sells and services thermal processing equipment for the electronics manufacturing industry. As part of Rehm Anlagenbau GmbH, Rehm USA extends the Rehm product line to the North America market and provides the highest quality service. Job Description: -Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems on Rehm ovens at customer sites in North America. -Installation of thermal processing equipment including reflow and curing ovens. -Service of installed equipment at customer sites in North America. -Provide technical support via telephone to customer in the US and Mexico. -Tracking frequent failures, evaluation of possible improvements and presenting them to management. -After transition period, ability to work independently, including making travel arrangements on his/her own. -Reporting to management service related activities, sales opportunities, machine failures, etc. -Filing of service reports for billing. -Field Service Engineers work at out of their home office, so self-initiative is of utmost importance. -Routine visits to assigned customers, to monitor equipment performance and proactively correct issues. -Maintain close customer relationships in order to proactively resolve issues. -Ability to effectively manage operating expenses. Training Schedule: -3 to 6 weeks training at company factory in Germany, depending on individual skills and configuration of machine install base. -Installation training at customer site in the US, by a senior service engineer. -Ongoing training at German factory as needed. Requirements: -Must be fluent in English and Spanish. -Ability to travel greater then 50% of the time. -Valid driver�s license and clean driving record. -At least 2 year associates degree in electronics or equivalent military experience. -Strong experience with mechanical devices, tools, and test equipment. -Flexibility to work overtime, and weekends when needed. -Basic PC knowledge including MS office, Windows NT and XP. -Knowledge of the SMT industry and processing equipment. -Ideal candidate will have experience with thermal profiling of reflow ovens.
