SMT Engineer - electronic manufacturing

CLIENT - International technology products manufacturer with manufacturing (high mix and medium/high volume - broad range of manufacturing processes), in Brno, CZ ROLE - SMT Engineer provide technical support and guidance to an inexperienced SMT team ensure efficient manufacturing processes and business readiness for new products/processes, by driving innovation and continuous improvement in the main areas of manufacturing systems, processes, equipment and procedures. provide daily production support and SMT related tool and fixtures support implement ECN changes in production set and achieve product yield goals and improvement support continuous improvement and Design For Manufacturing projects and interface with component engineering on new package evaluations. optimizing set-up for machine cycle times reductions, lead scrap reduction projects generate and maintain procedures and related documents introduce new SMT manufacturing processes to production additional responsibility as and when required. PERSON - higher weighting more important 10 - 3+ years process engineering experience in a high-volume SMT manufacturing environment. ideally CEM/EMS 10 - broad/deep SMT/product assembly process engineering skills - line support, process improvement, new product, new equipment, preventative maintenance, etc 10 - Strongly KPI driven - continuous improvement mindset and experience 10 - Ability to work flexible hours when the situation arises. 10 - Fluent written/verbal English a must - with Czech a strong preference 9 - Good appreciation of DFM, and able to provide DFM support at all stages of product design cycle. 9 - Ability to effectively coordinate activities with other departments 9 - Strong written and verbal communication skills. 9 - Ability to work independently and complete projects on time. 9 - Quality tools � Develop and contribute to implementation of SPC/FMEA/DOE/CPK studies. 8 - Experience in Siemens� SMT equipment is preferred. 8 - Degree or equivalent in Industrial Electronics, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
