Sales Manager (SMT)

Overview: Sales Manager within a High Tech organization located in the Twin Cities. In this role, the Sales Manager will manager 14 Sales Rep Groups. This position will break down into approximately 75% Direct Sales Support/Sales and 25% Management. This organizations Sales Rep Groups obtain the leads and facilitate the meetings. Their Sales Manager accompanies them on most calls to complete the sale full circle. Summary: 1. Responsible for management of the reseller network in territory 2. Responsible for the sales growth of the territory 3. Responsible for introducing and removing products smoothly from the channel 4. Responsible for executing the sales policies put forth Core Responsibilities � Generate sales to meet or exceed the revenue goal � Manage the distributors and reps in the regional sales channel � Evaluate territory and make appropriate changes to channel to maintain efficient and effective sales � Attend regional/national trade shows and present seminars � Accurately forecast sales for each product in territory on a per quarter basis � Gather and apply market information from territory � Introduce and remove products from the sales channel Experience, Education and Competencies Required 1. BS/BA degree- Technical degree a plus 2. Industrial selling experience 3-5 years minimum, direct reseller experience a plus 3. Reseller management experience - 3 years minimum 4. Formal sales training a plus � Travel will be within the US, Canada, Mexico and some South America. This position requires at least 50% travel.
