Trainee Manufacturing Engineering Technician Background Moog Ltd. is located in Ringaskiddy, 8 miles outside Cork city, and currently employs over 120 people. The plant is the Corporate Electronics Manufacturing facility for Moog world-wide and supports a large range of electronic products and technologies. The following opportunity has arisen. Job Function The Trainee Manufacturing Engineering Technician reports to the Materials and Operations Manager and is a member of the Operations Group. This position is part of a team responsible for supporting Moog Ireland��s board assembly process and all associated activities. Key responsibilities: �h Actively participate in problem solving and process improvement projects. �h provide technical support to board shop (mixed SMT/PTH) assembly process �h maintain equipment and plan stocks of spare parts to ensure equipment reliability goals are met �h provide ongoing process yield improvement and daily support to production �V key contributor to production cell teams �h specify and develop process fixturing/tooling to facilitate repeatable, high reliability processes �h supporting equipment improvement and/or replacement projects �h supporting Manufacturing Engineers on New Product Introduction Current Technology SMT includes SMT printer, Sanyo and Philips placement machines PTH includes a Wave & Wave system General Requirements The candidate should have a Certificate or Diploma in Manufacturing / Production / Electronic / Mechanical or similar. Experience not essential as on-the-job training will be provided. Candidates should also have good teamwork skills and be computer literate.
