Job Description: |
Individuals who excel in this position enjoy working on the hardware-software boundary,
are driven by complex problem solving in a fast paced environment. Candidate should be
familiar with most of the electronic technologies and be able to work with products for
the computing, data networking, and communications marketplace.

Activities
Test Development
- Work with customer engineers on design for automated test and manufacturing processes
for electronic products in the computing, data communications and telecommunications
market.
- Develop test solutions (hardware and software) to control product hardware, automated
test equipment, write diags, and user interfaces.
- Types of test development include:
- function/performance testing, sometimes under extreme environments
- ICT testing on HP 307X, Genrad 228X, and Teradyne platforms
New product introduction into manufacturing
- Tester installation, qualification
- Mfg tech training on use and failure analysis of product and equipment
- Analysis and resolution of production problems in test equipment (HW/SW), product
design, components or assembly defects.
- Work with other facilities to deliver common test solutions.
Sustaining Engineering
- Resolution of high impact problems
- Failure analysis of difficult complex problems
- Work with customer to optimize design for low cost & high yield
- Analyze, enhance and optimize the production test process and equipment for improved
cost, and efficiency (involves HW, SW, data/trend analysis.)
