About Product Operations: Product Operations is part of Global Supply Chain Management (Global Manufacturing) and is responsible for New Product Introduction and Product Life Cycle Management from Manufacturing and Supply Operations perspective. The product Operations team gets engaged with the Design Engineering teams very early in the development process and are responsible for the the NPI activities and also support the Products, till the end of Life. Product Engineer - Electrical & Electronics: Requirements Education: Graduate in Electronics or Electronics & communications Engineering. Experience: Minimum 8 years Industry & Background: o Should have worked in Electronic Hardware Manufacturing Industry. (Mandatory) o Knowledge of PCBA Manufacturing and NPI process (Mandatory) o Knowledge of Product development process from concept to launch phase. o Knowledge of DFM, DFT (Mandatory - Hands on experience on DFM analysis with software tools preferred) o Knowledge of processes involved in component second source qualification, BOM structuring, managing changes to BOM, design verification tests, reliability tests o Basic level understanding of Structural and functional test processes involved in PCBA o Experience on working with cross functional teams and interacting with design teams (Mandatory ) o Technically strong Others: o Individual contributor position o Flexibility to various time zones is important o Position based in Bangalore o Age Group : 30 - 38 years o Should have worked for MNC companies Job Description: High Level Role Description: Provides new product and on-going engineering (including DFm) for a specific product or group of products from pre-concept commit through end of life. Interfaces with design, process, test and reliability engineering to solve problems. Sustains products with cost reduction and design related yield improvements High Level Responsibilities: � Perform New product Engineering / Product sustaining engineering � Design for Manufacturing � Value engineering (component selection, process efficiency, and design changes) � BOM structuring and BOM risk Management. � Design tools proficiency (DFm, schematic, CAD, other CAE tools) � Design lab experimentation / debug (proficiency continuum) / DOE /EFA � Assessing CM and supply chain technical capability gaps � Creating, analyzing, and releasing product documentation � Cost avoidance (pre-A0) and sustaining cost reduction � Technical lifecycle management (defect reduction team participation, new component qualification, etc) � Mfg (Process) FMEA � Design FMEA � Design diagnostic analysis and input / influence � Leadership and direction of complex issue resolution Exp : 7+
