Job Description:

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities: To review engineering documentation for manufacturability and to support transitioning projects to production. Position will also review new and existing designs for manufacturability improvements for cost reduction and improved quality. Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to, review of all documentation in preparation for release to production and recommend changes or improvements as needed; oversee first production unit for newly released product; maintain and update manufacturing assembly procedures; maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, and assembly methods; determine parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications and requirements; instruct production technicians in the interpretation of drawings, electronics schematics, and fabrication requirements; enter data into Navision software operating system and maintain Component Part Numbers, Engineering Change Notices, and Bills of Material; design and build fixtures required for assembly and product testing. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years experience in highly technical manufacturing environment; knowledgeable in ISO processes and procedures; proficient in use of measuring and test equipment; strong analytical skills with the ability to handle multiple issues concurrently; experience in printed circuit boards and mechanical electronics assembly processes; familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within an electronics manufacturing environment; strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
