SMT Operator

Our partner, a fast-growing semiconductor company that is leading the LED lighting revolution, has multiple upcoming contract-to-hire positions for Level 1 Operators. These positions will require the ability to use critical thinking skills, work independently, and communicate effectively with co-workers, engineers, and management in a production environment. The salary range for these opportunities is between $11.00 - $12.00/hr depending on the assigned shift. Flexibility in schedule and shift is required. Responsibilities: •Perform assembly and soldering •Inspection and testing for reliability •Operate automated equipment •Read and follow written work instructions and complete the necessary paperwork accurately for each job •Meet daily production Quantity & Quality requirements •Perform daily clean-up of workstations and equipment to optimize process performance •Perform work station set-up and maintain clean and organized area •Cable and wiring electronic assemblies •Additional responsibilities may include maintaining supply levels and performing light data entry Requirements: •1-3 years production/manufacturing experience preferred •Excellent manual dexterity skills; hand/eye coordination •Solid work history; longevity in previous positions •A positive, ‘whatever it takes’ attitude; eager to perform the job to best of ability •Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment •Previous soldering experience preferred •Flexible work schedule and the ability to work overtime on short notice •High School Diploma or equivalent •Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. •Basic computer and math skills •Strong written and oral communication skills •Aptitude for handling repetitive tasks Candidates subject to criminal background screen and pre-employment drug test.
