Job Description:

Job Summary:  Responsible for programming and operating automated optical inspection (AOI) machine for assembled printed circuit boards.  Make IPC acceptability decisions during AOI operation.  Must be computer literate.

Inspects finished or in-process fabricated or mechanical parts, equipment, and assemblies and determines acceptance or rejection.  Evaluates fabricated or mechanical production parts or modules against standards by reviewing blueprints and schematics, and using measuring tools.  Using high-powered microscopes and the naked eye, inspect populated circuit boards or other electronic assemblies for compliance to Customer Bill of Material, potential assembly/solder defects and compliance to IPC Class II or III standards as required by specific job.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Using supplied data, create or modify AOI programs.
• Using familiarity with IPC-A-610 Class II and III in addition to J-Standards, inspect finished articles.
• Use high-powered microscope to conduct 1st and 2nd article inspections.
• Use naked eye to conduct 1st and 2nd article inspections.
• Compare finished products to Customer Bill of Material for accuracy in terms of components used, board population, electronic assembly, etc.
• Label all visible defects and communicate with production until resolution is satisfactory.
• Complete inspection reports.

Familiarity with YesTech Model B2 a plus but not required.  Our company specializes in ultra-quickturn jobs, builds offered anywhere from 1-3 days in addition to typical job durations of 3 weeks.  The ability to function in a fast-paced, driven environment is a must.  The qualified candidate will be able to introduce process and efficiency improvements to improve on the first article time spent programming AOI.  Typical shift is Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. MST.  Overtime will be required, at times with little advance notice.  Flexibility, a strong work ethic and the desire to contribute to our company's long-term goals, thus creating more business opportunities to benefit all employees are a must.  Pay structure will be matched to experience and skillset.
