Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Cad Manager, the CAD/Laser Tech
utilizes Gerbtool software to manipulate and/or produce various types of solder paste
stencil data (based on customer and customer service editing plans)
which is then produced as a Laser cut stencil from MET’s Lumonics and Lpkf
Laser machines.

Job Duties:

• Produces paper proof of stencil data for customer/customer service using Gerbtool software.
• Manipulates/designs data for solder paste stencils using Gerbtool.
• Uses GcCam and CircuitCam to convert data over for laser.
• Operates laser machine which produces laser cut solder paste stencils.
• Measures openings from laser cut stencil using a peak.
• Scans stencils using ScanCad software for all present apertures from laser cut.

• Very limited customer contact

Education and Experience Required:

• Diploma from recognized technical school in AutoCAD
• Training in AutoCad
• No to minimal work experience is required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows is required
• Organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail; meticulous
• Patience
• Math (basic) skills

Working Conditions

• Work is completed in an interior office environment and requires working on a computer the vast majority of the day.
