Senior Equipment Technician

Surface Mount Technology Corporation is seeking an experienced Process/Equipment Technician adept at the skills necessary to lead the continuous improvement process as related to machine performance and development efforts in preventative maintenance of high-technology equipment and downtime improvement efforts. Prior work experience with contract circuit board manufacturing is essential. Qualified applicant will support the production group and help identify areas for improvement - the goal being to reduce set-up and process time as well as improve overall quality.

As the Process/Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Provide advanced programming to operate production equipment.
• Provide scheduled and unscheduled repairs and maintenance of production equipment.
• Support production, process engineering and quality to assure product specification.
• Support new technology/equipment implementation.
• Lead thermo profile development.
• Define content of and write instructions/procedures for equipment preventative maintenance as required.
• Lead technical support for operators.
• The Process/Equipment Technician will help maintain ISO 9001 certification by being knowledgeable of and following appropriate documents in the Quality Manual as well as other procedures.
