Job Description: |
Connecticut based contract manufacturer of printed circuit board assemblies seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector. This is a full time position at a company the offers health benefits, 401K working in a clean, pleasant and congenial atmosphere.
Position Summary:
Carefully inspect components, subassemblies and assemblies to ensure compliance to drawings, work instructions and inspection plans. Must be familiar with and able to use microscopes, calipers, micrometers, pin gauges and multi-meters. We desire a strong working knowledge of electronic components and PCB Assemblies.
Requirements:

Dexterity and precision required to operate gauges and test equipment. Knowledge of common tools, gauges and test equipment.

ASQ Certification (Certified Quality Inspector or Certified Quality Technician)

Computer literacy - Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook and Access required

Ability to interpret and understand schematics, flow charts and CAD drawings

Must pass a drug test and preliminary background check and be a US Citizen or be able to present documents that prove identity and work authorization.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

IPC 600 and 610 Training with J-STD Training or Certificate

ISO experience preferred
Responsibilities:
-
Inspect in-process assemblies for workmanship, adherence to standard and documented processes, capture non-conforming details and report findings.

Inspect incoming bare PCB’s and select active components as directed.

Interface with customers and capture “Return Authorizations”, inspect returned product for non-conformity, process and document the work and forward details to Administration and to Production for repair/replacement and Order Processing.

Record results of inspection forms and reports number of defects found. Update production manager and supervisors with batch and job reports.

Maintain historical information for customer quality details and reports.

Perform other quality related duties as directed.
