Job Description: |
This individual must have an expert knowledge of the SMT Screen Printing process and equipment. Looking for a high potential candidate with the desire to succeed.
Essential functions / responsibilities:
-
Provide technical sales support to prospects, customers and Speedline sales personnel
-
Assist sales representatives on sales calls by providing expert level technical details on product features, functions and benefits
-
Ability to set-up, program, and establish an optimized print process
-
Responsible for demonstrations and supporting on site customer evaluations
-
Assist in the order quotation process by reviewing technical specifications for feasibility and machine configuration
-
Evaluate new customer processes for feasibility
-
Work with sales, engineering and customers to quote custom requirements
-
Provide technical training to sales personnel
-
Assist in sales tool development (Apps notes, presentations, etc.)
-
Consult on new hardware and software development
-
Conduct testing of new hardware and software features
-
Provide post-sales support
Position Reports To:
Education / Experience required:
-
Education: B.S. in Engineering
-
Electronics Manufacturing (SMT) Industry Experience: 7 to 10 years
-
Minimum of two years as a process engineer responsible for the Screen Print process
-
5 - 10 years of hands on machine processing experience including programming, set-up, operation and process optimization
-
Ideally, 1 - 2 years of experience in a Sales Support, or customer facing role.

Strong understanding of statistics for process control
Skills Required:

Expert level knowledge of the solder paste printing process

Expert functional knowledge of Screen Printers and their application
-
Capable of applying statistical tools for optimizing processes
-
Solid understanding of the overall SMT manufacturing process.

Customer relationship skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong presentation skills

Travel Requirements:
Travel will be required for the following activities:

Customer visits:

Pre-sales support - assist in technical sales support

Evaluation support - training and process support

Post-sales support - visit customers to focus on process and training

Trade-Shows - primarily in North America, (USA, Canada and Mexico) but may also require some limited International travel up to 50%
