Job Description:

LSI ADL Technology LLC., a fast growing Electronics Manufacturing Service Provider in Columbus, Ohio is currently seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer for SM and TH PCB manufacturing processes. This position is hands on and requires flexibility of engineering skill sets to be applied in various departments of the Company.

The position is responsible for creating SM machine programs for Universal Advantis and Genesis Production Equipment, and Universal TH Insertion programs for VCD_8 and Radial_8 machines using the Aegis manufacturing software.

The Manufacturing Engineer will maintain, troubleshoot, service, and provide technical support for all PCB production equipment, to include TH Component Prep machines, lead and lead free Wave Solder machines, and Selective Solder machines.  Other duties are to provide engineering support to production personnel, internal customers, and external customers.

The Manufacturing Engineer must be able to provide technical assistance and engineering support in the form of process improvements including performing root cause analysis, and implementing preventative and corrective actions as required.  The position will assist with quoting, the development of manufacturing routers/travelers, production BOM’s, write work instructions and procedures, and generate illustrations.  The position will also initiate and manage Engineering Change Notices for all customer assigned products.

Requirements:

  • 2 or 4 year technical degree or equivalent experience in a relevant manufacturing environment, preferably Electronic Contract Manufacturing facility as part of an engineering team. A BS degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Knowledge of the ISO 9001 standard, IPC-A-610 Acceptability Standard, quality and safety compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel a must.  PC based knowledge including network, operating systems.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, identify priorities, organize work efficiently to meet deadlines, and make effective business decisions.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the Company, including internal and external customers.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, team work ability through the willingness to take on additional responsibilities, and the capacity to work with minimal supervision.

Ideal experience and skills:

  • ERP manufacturing software, surface mount and thru-hole manufacturing processes, and PCB production machines
  • Experience working with the Intuitive software
  • Knowledge of Lean Principles and the Toyota Production System a plus
  • Demonstration of excellence in project management
  • Universal TH and SM equipment programming
