SMT Process Technician

SMT Process Technician is responsible for operation and maintenance of Screen Printers, SMT MyData and Universal placement equipment, Reflow Oven and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) station. Must possess knowledge of components and commonly used concepts, practices and procedures utilized in surface mount technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for machine development and program optimization.
Experience running reflow oven and checking profile.
Reads and follows written work instructions and complete the necessary paperwork accurately for each job
Electronic component identification.
Verify parts & their feeder pick up locations & placements against Bills of Material (BOM) and written work instructions.
Meet daily production Quantity & Quality requirements.
Perform inspection on part placement quality as per set quality standards per IPC-A-610.
Perform daily clean-up of workstations and equipment to optimize process performance.
Reviews records for device traceability and compliance.
Desired Skills and Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma; technical associate’s degree preferred.
Experience running automated MyData and Universal SMT placement equipment.
Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of electronics manufacturing and troubleshooting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to follow verbal and written work instructions. Must have strong interpersonal skills.
Strong problem solving abilities.
A positive, ‘whatever it takes’ attitude and have demonstrated a high level of dependability.
Flexible work schedule and the ability to work overtime on short notice required.
Able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
