Job Description:

Alpha is seeking a District Sales Manager to manage a territory comprised at a minimum of California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and Idaho. 

The general purpose of this position is to grow our business by utilizing our Channel Partners as the primary avenue to market and profitably drive our market share growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Planning / Territory Management (in conjunction with Channel Partner)

  • Develop yearly business plan by sales and margins for each product line.
  • Develop yearly business plan by sales and margins for Key and Target Accounts.
  • Conduct Quarterly business plan review with Channel Partner using POS Data.
  • Assist Channel Partner with inventory management and consignment bar planning.
  • Conduct Quarterly training programs with Channel Partner.
  • Communicate & Implement corporate pricing guidelines to Channel Partner.
  • Communicate & Comply with corporate “Rules of Engagement” to Channel Partner.
  • Assess and measure progress and performance of Territory Business Plan in cooperation with Channel Partner and make necessary adjustments accordingly.

DSM Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain Market Share information for territory.
  • Submit monthly reports on a timely basis.
  • Responsible for annual corporate budgeting for territory.
  • Expense reporting on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure corporate credit policies are adhered to.

Day to Day Activities

  • Works in cooperation with Channel Partner to manage total sales efforts by monitoring targets and key accounts, problem solving, assisting with inventory planning, end product training        through routine and regular meetings and sales visits with Channel Partner.
  • Assist Credit Department with delinquent payment issues.
  • Follow and comply all rules of engagement.
  • Works to maintain and grow any direct business.
  • Maintain regular contact with Inside Sales Coordinators and marketing regional manager, notifying them of actions needed in support of their efforts i.e., “new product ideas”.
  • Communicate and distribute internet / trade show / publication sales leads with Channel Partners, giving feedback of customers’ responses to corporate marketing.
  • Assess and measure Channel Partner performance per agreed to standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a four year degree in management and/or a technical related field.
  • Minimum five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience in the electronic assembly industry as well as sales experience preferred.
