Process Engineering

Requirements:

• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, process controls and equipment solutions to improve safety, quality, delivery and costs.
• Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design, tooling and equipment to ensure efficient production methods to optimize productivity and cost.
• Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
• Confers with managements, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
• Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
• Assists with customer relations for manufacturing projects and job quoting.
• Performs and maintains programming and machine set-up operations and troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical issues as needed.
• Defines, produces and implements documents including engineering drawings and process instructions.
• Maintains established manufacturing processes including related documentation.
• Troubleshoots issues with rejected manufacturing line products and components, ensures repairs have been completed and logged and may assist with root cause analysis.
• Assist with creating and maintaining work instructions and procedures to help ensure products are built to specifications or as intended.
• Assists in maintaining a preventative maintenance (PM) program for all company equipment.
• Assists the production manager with maintenance and daily care of the building and grounds.
• Assists with routine production audits to assure proper assembly and operation of products.
• Assists with technical support and training to customers and customer support staff regarding proper installation, operation, and troubleshooting company products.
• Performs quality reviews of process documentation for compliance with requirements to include company quality records.
