Job Description: |
Essemtec USA has an immediate opening for a field service engineer to help us with:
On Site Customer Support
Perform installation, preventative maintenance and repair on Essemtec equipment Set up equipment specific processes at customer sites Prepare and execute buy-off and machine acceptance at customer side or at Essemtec facilities Generate and submit appropriate reports and forms to supervisor Inform sales and supervisor on specific customer activities and trends.
Internal Customer Support
-
Provide technical support to customers by phone or e-mail
-
Provide process support to customers by phone or e-mail
-
Escalate technical issues to supervisor for assessment
-
Support other field service engineers in the field
-
Provide supervisor with potential billable support actives
Internal Support
-
Set up equipment and process for pre-sales projects
-
Develop equipment related processes and applications
-
Collect process data and document activities
-
Prepare for installation and field upgrades
-
Upgrade and overhaul customer equipment
-
Provide technical advice and counseling to entry level Field Service Engineers
-
Do follow up on field service trips and other open issues
-
Maintain demo equipment
-
File machine documents and service reports
Demo and Evaluation
-
Prepare equipment for demos and evaluations
-
Understand process and application requirements according to the specs
-
Collect and process data, document all activities
-
Execute demo or evaluation in-house or at customer site
Training
-
Participate in in-house training or HQ programs up to level 3 certification
-
Prepare and provide training classes to customers and other engineers
-
Generate and/or adapt training documentation for specific needs
-
Submit documentation and records of training received and provided
Administrative Tasks
-
Provide the Weekly Hour Report to supervisor
-
Process expenses reports and submit them on time to supervisor
-
Book flights, hotels and rent cars as needed
-
Maintain tool box
