Job Description:

General Purpose: This position for a Quality Engineer must have electronics manufacturing and/or cable experience. Your electronics manufacturing background, PCBA, cabling experience, and expertise in auditing and maintaining AS9001 will be the keys to a rewarding career.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 
• Establish FMEA & SPC needs for the manufacturing process, set up, train operators, collect and monitor data.
• Strong Printed Circuit Board Assembly experience necessary.
• Maintain measuring systems, surveillance, follow-ups, trouble shooting and root cause analysis.
• Add AQL’s to outgoing product, publish findings.
• Investigate first pass yields, < 95% and provide root cause analysis of failure, for process improvement.
• Manage MRB monthly, and publish reports to management.
• Manage RMA’s and provide feedback to manufacturing on project performance.
• Coordinate all ISO activities, including internal/external assessments/surveillance.
• Manage corrective and preventative action system. Act as the Root Cause Coordinator to lead teams in Root Cause Analysis.
• Ensure compliance to IPC-600/610/620 & IPC-WHMA Workmanship standards, including but not limited to: ANSI/ASQC Z1.4 (sampling).
• Make recommendations on equipment requirements that will improve and/or stabilize the process, not limited to but including test.
• Advise Quality failures and support for troubleshooting the failures.
• Manage Document Control systems and policies.
• Understand cable manufacturing and interpret customer designs to production build.

Education and/or Experience/Licenses and/or Certificates:

• Bachelor’s Degree or five years of related experience and/or training.
• Quality Assurance training, experience or certification.
• ISO training, experience or certification preferred.
• IPC-600/610/620 training required.
• Experience in SMT, PCBA and or Cable  manufacturing environments is a must, and preferably with an electronics contract manufacturer.
• Advance experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Database management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
