Field Service Engineer

ASYS Group is a global technology company and leading supplier of automation solutions for the Electronics, Solar and Life Science industries. We are transitioning from an equipment supplier to a solutions provider in the fields of Material Logistics and Industry 4.0.

Our team in Austin, TX is expanding and looking for a

Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities:

• · Installation, Service, and Maintenance of ASYS equipment at customer locations throughout the US, Canada, and possibly Mexico
• · Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through quality, skills and quick response times
• · Provide training and process support to customers via telephone or in person
• · Safety Adherence & Proper Protective Equipment constantly utilized and maintained
• · Ability to follow and abide by company and customers policies and procedures
• · Ability to travel 75% or more, locally, nationally, internationally, sometimes with very little notice
• · Telephone support during after hours (On Call Rotation)
• · Home base will be Austin, TX

Training schedule:

• • Approx. 4-6 weeks training in Germany depending on the individual skills of the new hire
• • Ongoing training in Germany / Americas whenever necessary

Requirements:

• · Minimum: associates degree in Engineering or equivalent military training
• · Strong troubleshooting and electrical skills with knowledge of Mechanics, PLC and robotics
• · Experience with electronics or life science manufacturing
• · Solid background in Windows, networking, and computer hardware
• · Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
• · Flexibility to work overtime and weekends if necessary
• · Excellent verbal / written communication and time management skills
• · Ability to work independent with limited supervision
• · Valid Passport for traveling internationally
• · Background checks and drug screens will be administered prior to and during employment
