Job Opportunity: Engineering Supervisor

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Job Location: Brooksville, FL

Hours/Days of Position: 4 days, 10 hour shifts


At Spartronics, the Engineering Supervisor has responsibility to manage and lead assigned project engineering goals and objectives for specified engineering department. Manages and reports the status of engineering projects within the group. Demonstrates a high level of technical expertise in an engineering discipline. Has an in-depth understanding of Spartronics business goals and provides the engineering leadership required to support goal attainment.


What a Day Looks Like:

Manages an engineering department to support the continuing growth and success of the Spartronics Business plans.
Develop, analyze and improve processes to increase efficiency of production, analyze root cause, generate reports and implement corrective or preventative actions
Investigate, establish and implement requirements for equipment tooling, materials, and methods of manufacturing including make or buy decisions and facility layout as required for new or revised products from pilots through normal production
Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all aspects of circuit card assembly. 
Responsible for ensuring projects are completed on schedule, meet technical requirements and financial goals, with emphasis on performance excellence.
Provide direction and leadership to the engineers within the department.
Interfaces directly with customers through presentations, meetings, white paper presentation, or other communication media to represent Spartronics. 
Provide technical expertise to team and production personnel
Establish measurements and reports for progress to meet project and/or departmental goals.
Present reports as required by management.
Assigns specific job tasks to engineers and teams for completion as well as monitor progress.
Determine requirements for materials, and or equipment for engineering projects and ensure all required tooling, equipment and materials are available for the engineering group.
Uses Spartronics policies and procedures to complete work assignments and ensures group employees adhere to the Spartronics policies and procedures.
All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill,

Education- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, MS preferred.
10+ years experience in printed circuit card assembly and process engineering .
Thorough understanding of J-STD-001 requirements
5+ years supervising experience preferred.
Ability to lead and manage a dynamic team of individuals and mentor lower level engineers.
Working knowledge of six sigma, lean, and kaizen activities, as well as, appropriate
ISO \ AS9100 standards. 
Technical skills include working knowledge of screen printing, SMT placement, reflow soldering, AOI, wave / selective wave soldering, wash operations, conformal coating, flux chemistry and IPC-A-610, applicable to the facility assigned.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
