ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURING ENGINEER Salary $50 to 65k Company: Our client is a manufacturer of electronic controls used in a wide variety of industrial and consumer uses. They make microprocessor based controls for such areas as HVAC, Fire Detection Systems, Power Supplies, Telecommunications, and Automotive. Some of their clients include GE-Medical & Allen-Bradley. It is a real fast paced environment, typically projects last 4 to 6 months and then a new challenge will occur. They offer a very good fringe benefits, profit sharing, 401k, PPO, Dental, Life, No Co pay, & tuition reimbursement. * Description: This person will be responsible for providing production support for a Surface Mount (SMT) line. This would include such processes as wave soldering, encapsulation, conformal coating, adhesive bonding, and thru-hole. Duties include developing new manufacturing processes, initiating effective proces controls, performing design for manufacturability (DFM) studies, identifying technology based improvements, improving over-all line efficiency, and overseeing any needed tooling. They will work closely with their clients on the manufacturing of their product. Other duties involve coordinating new product introductions, leading cross-functional improvement teams, and investigating, justifying, purchasing & installing any new machinery. This person will also review engineering changes, give direction to hourly personnel, and work on process improvements. It is an opportunity to learn the whole business aspect of electronic manufacturing. ** Qualifications: Qualified applicants MUST have BSMET, BSME, BSIE, BSIT, BSEET or other related 4 year engineering degree, and 5+ yrs of experience in an electronics manufacturing setting (client will NOT consider university work as relevant). Candidates should have a solid working knowledge of soldering processes, or surface mount technology, and methods development. It would be helpful to have experience in material flow and show strong leadership skills. Must be willing to travel 10% of the time. ** City: Our client is located in a medium sized Wisconsin city located between Milwaukee & Green Bay.
