COMPONENT ENGINEER

Responsible for representing multiple factories worldwide with on-site, real-time consultation to customer design team on the comapny's ability to procure components designed into customer product. Works directly with vendors/suppliers and the company's supply chain management and procurement teams on monitoring and reporting of worldwide component availability and pricing. This is accomplished by monitoring the customer design process through real-time Bill-Of-Material (BOM) reviews using a large variety of software. Responsible for developing, communicating and tracking all component availability issues to closure and maintaining metrics. Also responsible for developing cost justifications for these design changes that will enhance the company's ability to procure components for a given product. The ideal candidate will have a BS in an Engineering discipline and 5+ years of previous component engineering experience in a printed circuit board assembly environment. Strong communications and customer interface capabilities are required.
