Sr. SMT Process Engineer

Technical support of SMT processes in manufacturing including troubleshooting of equipment, defect analysis, resolution of component or materials issues and process improvements. You will source, implement and document new manufacturing equipment, tools or methods to enhance capabilities of existing or new manufacturing lines. Also, liaison with other departments to introduce new component packages, products and SMT technologies and/or equipment.

Demonstrated project management skills including time line development, resource planning, status reporting and contingency planning. Demonstrated skills in effectively leading or facilitating teams involving multiple organizations. Demonstrated change management skills in effectively implementing comprehensive or high impact process improvements in manufacturing.

Minimum 6 years experience in technical support of SMT processes such as component placement, paste and reflow and/or glue dispensing. Experienced in equipment implementation and start-up in manufacturing environment. Experienced in statistical analysis of defects to known workmanship standards such as IPC or Bellcore standards. Effective in making process improvements related to quality, productivity, and/or cycle time. Experienced in introducing and troubleshooting new SMT component packages and technologies into manufacturing. High-level knowledge of Fuji and/or Siemens component placement equipment and BTU reflow ovens preferred.

BSEE/ME/IE with 6 years minimum technical experience in PCB manufacture. Relevant formal training in SMT process desired. No relocation reimbursement available.
