Test Engineering Manager

The primary responsibilities of the Test Engineer manager include managing the test process to support New Product Introductions to ensure the manufacturing test process is qualified and on-line to meet the product launch schedule. Reduce Test Cycle time through the elimination of non-value added activities to support 15%/year sales growth. Maintaining the up time of Test Equipment. Provides leadership and mentoring to the test engineering group, as well as providing training, career path mentoring and associate development to the Test Engineering group. As part of a concurrent engineering team leading Design For Test on new products to ensure the compatibility of the product design and test process. Support resolution of product quality issues. Requirements include 4 year college degree, engineering degree preferable. Minimum 10 years of product test or product development experience. Minimum 3 years personnel management experience. The Test Engineering Manager must have a working knowledge of world class manufacturing practices. Specifically, six sigma, design for six sigma, one-piece flow, standard work, visual management, kanban, and kaizen change processes are key tools to be utilized in the pursuit of world class excellence within the Wilmington, MA operation.
