Pragmax is a Collaborative Product Content Management system which provides quick and error-free solutions to some time-consuming problems faced by electronic hardware design teams: parts information management (electronic, mechanical and even intangible parts such as phantoms and firmware), management of associated documents and document packs, issue control, change control, management of build variants and the production of bills of materials (BoMs) for manufacturing. Pragmax fills the engineering needs ignored by most MRP and ERP systems � it manages associated documents, attribute data, links to EDA tools (including design import, symbol preview and insertion), approval status, generation of engineering BoMs, even chasing change entities through sign-off. It maintains a history and audit trail for every component and assembly. Pragmax allows engineers to spend more time on creative work and less on frustrating, non-productive, error prone housekeeping tasks. Pragmax provides the essential engineering database for managing all aspects of the development and continued evolution of electronic products and their communication with contract manufacturers via the internet, even to the extent of allowing contract manufacturers and other third parties controlled access to the database and participation in workflows for sign of and parts approvals.
