The LC57 Series is Sanyo's most basic line of CMOS 4-bit single-chip microcontrollers with LCD display functions. The microcontrollers of this series are ideal for relatively small-scale products, such as clocks/timers, games, and remote control units. Sanyo's proprietary LCD display circuit technology (controllers/drivers) can drive any LCD panel arrangement without program support.

With ultra-low power requirements, LCD drivers, crystal oscillators, and melody outputs, the LC57 Series microcontrollers are optimized for clocks, timers, games (LCD display/melody), calculators, remote control units (LCD display) and simple PDAs. SANYO is now offering the following series:

The LC573406/573404 microcontrollers, with 16-bit timer and an infrared carrier output pin, are specifically designed for remote controllers.

The LC573104/573102/573010 microcontrollers are without the LCD-display function. With the built-in 16-bit timer and an infared carrier output, it is suitable for low-end remote controllers with preset functions.

The LC58 Series microcontrollers with built-in LCD drivers are also available. They are ideal for providing LCD display functions for control applications requiring low operating voltages and low power dissipation.
