Areas of use - General maintenance

Prevents bolt seizure at high. Temps. Cyclic pressures and loadings. Protects against stainless steel and dissimilar metal threaded fasteners from galling, seizing and from 'heat-freeze'. BASC is invaluable as a time and money saver allowing parts to be easily disassembled (even if hot) and re-used. BASC works equally well on cast iron, steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper, titanium and all similar and dissimilar 'mating' parts. It is also an excellent breaking-in lubricant, tapping compound and for impregnating packings and porous bearing materials

High & Extreme heat applications

Use BASC on threaded fittings, studs, nuts, bolts, screws, slides, slippers, keys and keyways, press fits, bushings, pins, couplings, spark plugs, packings, gaskets, flanges, splines, valve stems. Also on sliding surfaces, lathe centres, steady rests, ways, taps, piercing rams, extrusion dies (e.g.: plastics and aluminium profiles) and friction rings. Use BASC on threaded flanged connections in internal combustion and jet engines; heat exchangers, furnaces, cat crackers, autoclaves and reactors, compressors, manifolds, ovens (including IR) steel plant equipment, turbines, boilers, hot drawing and forming burners fuel-feed nozzles and cylinder heads.
