ProSoft Technology, Inc. is a US company based in Bakersfield, CA specializing in the development of communication products for the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation platforms. Distribution, support and services are supplied worldwide by regional offices and an extensive distribution network.

History

Development of the first product started in 1988 under contract to Allen-Bradley. This initial product was a firmware solution providing Modbus Slave communications for the PLC platform. ProSoft Technology, Inc was formally incorporated in 1990. In 1993, ProSoft Technology had already evolved from a single product company to a multiple product provider having developed an extensive protocol library. Since then, ProSoft Technology has become a major supplier for the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation family of products, with over 100 protocol emulation modules available. This was facilitated by our extremely active product development program and customer recognition of our product quality. A strong partner relationship with Allen-Bradley has given us access to proprietary technology licenses, allowing us to offer products tightly integrated into A-B hardware platforms.

Custom Development

At ProSoft, custom protocol development is available for most Allen-Bradley hardware platforms. We continue to develop and expand our protocol and product base and are eager to investigate new applications. One of the benefits we offer is long term support for your custom solution, therefore maintaining a marketable product from the solution we provide to you. In many cases, because of our long term interest in a solution, we are able to share in the development cost of these products.

Organization

ProSoft Technology, Inc is headquartered in California, with 8 regional sales offices: 4 in North America (Western, North Central, Southern and North Eastern), 1 in Latin America, 1 which includes Europe, Middle-East and Africa, 1 in Asia, and a new region encompassing Australia and New-Zealand. Our products are distributed and supported through a wide distribution network of more than 250 distributors worldwide.

Rockwell Automation Encompass Partner

ProSoft Technology, Inc. is one of the members of the �Global Encompass� program of Rockwell Automation. This means that ProSoft is involved in development, sales and support, of communication modules for Allen-Bradley control platforms and Flex I/O modules, in every major region of the globe. These modules give our customers the opportunity to open their Allen-Bradley architectures to other networking solutions including HART Multidrop, Honeywell DE, Modbus, Modbus Plus, Modbus TCP/IP Ethernet, Profibus DP, DNP 3.0, or IEC 60870-5-101.

ProLinx Communication Gateways, Inc.

In 2000, a sister company, ProLinx Communication Gateways, Inc. began as a result of ProSoft's newest line of products, ProLinx Communication Gateways. These stand-alone, DIN-rail mounted modules opened a new line of connectivity solutions including port expanders, web servers and protocol converters. Over 130 new ProLinx products are now available offering solutions for:
