EDA Consortium
International association of companies developing EDA tools and services that enable engineers to create the world's electronic products.
The EDA Consortium seeks to identify and address issues that are common to its members and the customer community that the member companies serve. By focusing on commonality and promoting cooperation, the Consortium augments the effectiveness of the tools, services and communications provided by its members.
The EDA Consortium represents approximately 100 companies in the $5.5 billion Electronic Design Automation (EDA) industry. The EDA industry serves virtually every major semiconductor and electronics systems company in the world including computer, communications, consumer electronics, medical, and aerospace companies. The worldwide demand for increasingly complex electronic products is exploding. The EDA industry’s products and services make it possible for the world's electronic companies to keep up with demand for smaller, faster, more powerful, and lower cost electronic products.
The EDA Industry employs over 27,000 people. The industry serves virtually all segments of the electronic design industry, resulting in more overall stability than individual electronics industry segments.
