I like MPM's 500 machine. I purchased the predecessor model when it was made by SMTech. This machine has programmable pin supports which made setting up for double sided boards really easy. For auto alignment, I think only in-line machines have th

Only options we have (i think) is the Unders Screen cleaner unit. and the tooling carousel. (this you realy need, is the best board support system) 2D inspection (i don't know if this is realy a opion) I think 145K is a lot. You can get a better p

Last 4 years I work with printer by SJ Inno Tech, model HH-520. This model have all what you want - fully automatic alignment, 2D inspection, many different pins for PCB fixing - and no any problems during this 4 years. P.S. Sorry for my English, I'

There are several ways to inspect solder paste after deposition. Defects will range - too much paste, not enough, misaligned, bridged, smeared, etc. Some sceen printers have 2D inspection imbedded, otherwise a standalone system for paste inspection

Back in the mid 90s I used an SVS 3D solder paste inspection system. We used it as a stand along unit but it was an inline model. We would bring printed PCBs off the Dek 265 solder printers and check every 5 or 10 printed panels. They almost alway

2D will give you on-line contrast inspection for paste coverage on the land. I would go with 2D on the printer when comparing to an AOI that will do the same contrast inspection. There are systems out there that will check paste hieght and area cover

I can't comment on the quality of any vendors equipment, but your question is really a "process approach" issue. What do you expect to find with that 3rd dimensional measurement? 2D inspection should detect the majority of your printing errors.

3d is good for initial verification that your screen printer and stencil is producing the desired paste height. 2D verification is more than sufficient during regular production. That being said, your best bet for a 3D machine is to go cheap - buy

We are using Gerber EZ Teach to inspect near 100% of some boards. Many component footprints seem to be assigned custom packages. These custom packages come up as "preview errors" during inspection. I have noticed when I manually move the camera to th
