Sounds like the feed cylinder sensor. Its a air cylinder hooked to the tape feeder advancing mechanism in the rear of the machine. Go into the I/O and make sure the sensor is changing state when you flag it.

Has anyone ever ran into a 20mm pitch on a 24mm tape and reel. Our software doesnt have a setting for 20mm. we found a way around it, but i was curious as to how common this pitch is, and if other software or feeders have a 20mm setting.

We use Samsung and our 24mm feeders have 8,12,16,and 20mm pitch settings. I have found 20mm pitch quite common. My favorite is yhe 12 on 12 our feeders don't support that, we have to put them up on 16mm feeders our cycle them 3 times on a 4mm pitch

WE ARE USING MIRAE MX240. ON THIS MACHINE, THE FEEDER ADVANCE AND THE FEEDER PITCH IS CONTROLLED BY THE MACHINE/SOFTWARE AS OPPOSED TO THE FEEDER ITSELF. OUR SELECTIONS FOR 24MM FDDERS ARE 4,8,12, 16, AND 24MM.I WAS WONDERING IF THE 20MM PITCH WAS UN

EIA-481 standard allows the maximum pitch on tape to be 4mm less than the tape width (12mm width and larger). So it is within the standard allowances. As for how common 20mm pitch on 24mm tape is I can not say. I am surprised a 24mm tape feeder ca

Good job.... Sorry i didnt see this post...some of us were busy snow tubing over the weekend...haha. Many times over the years....the rubber belt inside the feeder will deposit material inside. Sometimes it ends up on the sensors and blocks the ligh

Hi, as far as I remember Juki machines have sendor to check if there is a feeder high. So you have several thingd to check here: 1. Check if there is a feeder high 2. check the sensor calibration. I think it is a beam from one side that goes streig

Interesting enough, it did turn out to be alignment, maybe the machine is getting bend & twisted just like people do when they get old....... or maybe I should say as the beam gets less intense with old age the sensor needs to be readjusted to pick u
