Fuji CP4 & 0402

Electronics Forum | Fri Feb 01 05:42:21 EST 2008 | aj

Hi all, Is anyone out there placing 0402 with a CP4? Not sure how reliable it would be and also how do work around the nozzle setup ? we currently have 2.5mm ,1.3mm & 1.0mm so do you remove say 6 x 2.5mm and put in 0.7mm. Any replies appreciated.

automatic insertion of radial components 3.5mm

Electronics Forum | Mon Aug 20 15:53:52 EDT 2007 | erhard

Manufacturing already tried to get a design change but no chance. I guess because the designer is afraid the components could get bent too much if they are mounted with a stand off. Of course everyone who has to manufacture this fist sais: why don't

Stencil thickness

Electronics Forum | Thu Jun 16 18:19:05 EDT 2005 | Jason Fullerton

If the uBGA has aperatures that are 0.25mm square, you need to use a laser cut foil no thicker than 3.75 mils to get an area ratio of 0.67, which is the minimum rule of thumb - that's too thin! Electroform would probably work up to 4.5 mils thick.

flip chip tolerances

Electronics Forum | Fri Jun 01 14:50:29 EDT 2001 | Matt Gormont

I am looking for outline tolerances of a flip chip with a pitch of .25mm. Bumps are made of 63/37 solder. Key tolerances are bump height and positional tolerance of the bumps. Can anyone HELP?

Can anyone recommend the best way to solder Manganin wire?

Electronics Forum | Thu Sep 04 16:43:00 EDT 2003 | coeps

I have never used Manganin wire. I understand it is difficult to solder. Should we use a move active flux. It will be a .25mm, PTFE insulated manganin wire spliced to thermistor wires. Thanks coeps

Reflowed Component Placement Tolerance

Electronics Forum | Wed Oct 15 12:32:19 EDT 2003 | Gregg

We are looking at a design that has an smt led emiter and a corresponding smt detector. After reviewing the tolerance stackup, we need a reflowed placement accuracy of +/-0.25mm(+/-0.010") for each component. Any thoughts/opinions?

CSP No clean residue

Electronics Forum | Wed Dec 08 08:38:46 EST 2004 | davef

KS: You're correct. The standoff on a 1.00mm and 1.25mm BGA is high enough to allow cleaning. The standoff on 0.8mm BGA does not allow proper cleaning, even with saponifiers.

smt sizes

0805 is 80 thou by 50 thou. As there are 40 thou per mm, this is therefore a device which is 2mm by 1.25mm, i.e., a 2125 Cheers, Colin...

BGA Tilt

Electronics Forum | Thu Feb 08 14:03:39 EST 2007 | dave

Hi All, What is the cause of BGA tilt ? I have a failed board and it seems to have approx 0.25 mm difference in height on one edge of the BGA to the other. It is notable under magnification. Is this caused by to much time above reflow temp or not

Board stop on DEK printer

Electronics Forum | Thu Mar 29 12:23:55 EDT 2007 | dekhead

Size is 21mm (relaxed) x 4mm (OD) x 0.25mm wire... Manufacturer is Flexo Springs But for an in stock item that costs not much more than $1... I would think hardly worth the time and effort to have one made.
