There is one thing to be checked too. That is to make sure the nozzle not going too deep when lower to pick up the part. I found a lot of picking errors issues are due to nozzle going down too deep into the pocket. If it does, it pushes the component

I have seen the solder shoot out at least 4"-6" from both the leading and trailing edge when this happens. If the open pockets are real deep you may want to use a turbulent/chip wave for soldering, sometimes this leaves bridges however.

Try adjusting your vision file. There are a couple of different ways you can vision this part. Why is the nozzle cut down. We place electro. caps also and use a standard nozzle. Are you using a deep pocket feeder. MrMaint

Hallo Yes we are using deep pocket feeder for capasitors. We cut the nozzle because there was problem with hitting the component on the nozzle with just placed. Greg

In the past I have spoken to Multitronics sales reps and looked into the product line. I saw their equipment more suited for a smaller "mom and pop" type shop, I work for a mid size contract house and it wouldn't have come close to meeting my needs.
