The air kiss is to replace the vacuum with air so the part will drop off the nozzle. Every machine I've seen with Air kiss, uses it when discarding a part as well as when placing a part. The air kiss should not be strong enough to blow the nozzle off

What? That is easily done. With a 127 micron stencil thickness and apertures made for a QFP 0.5mm pitch... Remember from school of how You squeeze a media under a certain presure (like air), from a bigger diameter towards a smaller nozzle, You will i

One of our GSM machines started having an issue with "spitting" parts onto the board / blowing them around. I determined the problem be that spindle #2 on our flex head is not touching the parts all the way down to the board. It is stopping just abov

Have you tried a smaller nozzle? I'm wondering if the air is escaping through the cut outs on the device on the air kiss stage.

Jacky, we have had a similar problem. We needed to go to a smaller nozzle and also check your vacuume system and air kiss.Could be after placement when the machine blows air to insure the part is off the nozzle that it is effecting the solder brick.

You need to adjust the air kiss. The machine blows a slight amount of air after placement and it is probably adjusted too high.

If you are using vib. feeders than the component may be flipped length wise by the following components. Components should be landing with the leads on the right side but upside down. If you are using tape feeders the component may be flipped sideway

Hello Sounds to me that the problem might be with vaccum and lot of it, after the component is place theres a small amount of air that pushes the component away from the nozzle in MYDATA we call it a kiss in my facility, have you check that the air

Sounds to me that the issue may be with vacuum and part of it, after the segment is put there's a little measure of air that pushes the segment far from the spout in MYDATA we consider it a kiss in my office, have you watch that the air that "puffs"

In order to kiss off the components with an air blow, there are two times to consider: 1. reaction time of the solenoid ( to shut off the vacuum and turn on the air ), 5-10 ms 2. time required to fill up an air hose, which leads to the nozzle. Assumi
