Auto Insertion multi purpose workboard holder

I have a few adjustable workboard holders here that we bought from EMC Global Technologies (http://www.emcgti.com/). I'll attach the catalog for all their parts. Even though the catalog is dated 2005, the prices are still good. They do have a $50.00

Blocking stencil apertures (on purpose)

Electronics Forum | Thu May 01 13:56:45 EDT 2003 | kmorris

Dave: After the stencil was made with apertures for a connector on this PCB, it was discovered that the connector would have to be handsoldered after SMT reflow. If the solder deposits are left to reflow on the pads, it makes it difficult for the o

poor print definition

Hi Mark, Not to be condescending, but is your 265 camera in focus? I've seen one instance of this. If its not the camera, and you are sure all your other parameters are good, , then poor definition can be from bad snap-off or bad gasketing. Snap

In the automotive industry there has been a swing away from gaskets and a movement to high temp resistant sealing compounds. In all probability your original gasket would have been viton for high temp O-rings. So if that is the case the replacement

Blocking stencil apertures (on purpose)

Electronics Forum | Mon Apr 28 09:53:10 EDT 2003 | kmorris

I've got a set of apertures on a stencil that I would like to "plug" or block off. In the past we've done this with Kapton tape, but since this location is close to a fine pitch component, the thickness of the tape prevents good gasketing at the fin

Need a non-static generating adhesive transfer material

Electronics Forum | Thu Mar 27 16:40:45 EDT 2008 | slthomas

(or just some static-safe foam tape) I need to seal a wire terminal block to a board for conformal coating purposes. Currently we glue it to a shim and glue the shim to the board (yuck), but I want to use die cut gaskets if I can make it cost effec

First, plug all holes with nozzles or plugs. Then use I/O diagnostics to fire changer up and activate vacuum. Then try to remove each of the nozzles and see if the vacuumm holds. If it does, check vacuum detector switch (mounted on changer side). The

HASL Plating Thickness

Nippy, This is exactly what we are seeing. The exessive pads are all on one side of the board. This is a 10 up panel 5x2. All of the QFP's on one side on the panel are not releasing or are not gasketing and causing bridging. So the defects are rangi

poor print definition

Electronics Forum | Wed Feb 22 16:55:04 EST 2006 | mark

Hi, We are not using vaccum caps. The support pins for both printers is the same ande cover all board (components only on Top side of the PCB). I will check snap-off (right know setting 0.2-04. mm/s). I also suspected poor gasketing but clamps are o

Using an air hose to clean stencils

Electronics Forum | Fri Nov 05 13:58:23 EDT 2010 | chartrain

I agree that the tines (webs between apertures) can become damaged on fine pitch stencils from a blast of air. If they get bent, the stencil won't seat and gasket properly allowing bleed out of paste. Of course we all know that the air being blasted
