Whe have the Mirtec about 2 years now, the question is, that when you have 100 components to check he give's 20 to 30 failures that no failures are. are there people they have the same problem?

Good Morning Roger, The Mirtec's can be adjusted to lower your false call rate. This can be done by reducing the matching percentage for each componnent but the result of this action is that the machine becomes less selective. If you lower them too

Start with a definition of what you expect the AOI to achieve at each station. Will your in-line machine be post print? Place (pre-reflow) or post reflow? Rather than buy one very expensive machine to put at the end of the line, maybe a couple of

Hello all, Would you please tell me what is the approximate price for AOI machine? At least for the most popular AOI's. Do you think each production needs AOI? Is it really decreasing the failures a lot? Thank you in advance.

AOI does nothing to decrease the failures. It only helps to spot them. Fix your problems and you won't need an AOI.

First all, you must define the specific defects that you wanted to screen out by your AOI system based on its capability, so you can allocate the undetected defects on your other means of inspection methodology. Then optimize your AOI inspection para

The CAD data is the centroid data, x,y location. I developed an Excel macro in which we import the data as a text file and convert it to the CR Technology format. Rates for false failures varies, but is ~10 - 20%. The operators are given an oportuni
