There are two primary causes of epoxy adhesive bond failure, heat and over exposure to moisture. Ultrasonic cavitation is a only a mechanical "scrubbing" action on a microscopic level. However, if the adhesive bond is week or has small areas of det

I've faced this several times in the past, and the only real solution is to wirebond before SMT assembly. Everything leaves a residue, and trying to clean a residue off later is basically hopeless. This may require some trickery in your SMT process

Materials you see are corner bond adhesive, main purpose of this is mechanical shock absorber , it promotes additional adhession to lessen stress to solder joints incase device subjected to mechanical stress like dropping.By function, corner bond

Hello, we rework BGA packages that come back from the field. I've seen on occasion a black and or red "epoxy" substance from the manufacturer on the corner of some board's BGA chips that I imagine are applied to increase corner bond of the chip to th

We agree with "guest" above. This a "chip bonder" type material used to improve the reliability of array type devices. "A relative comparison of the N50 values is given below: No underfill = 1.0X (baseline) Corner bond = 1.3X Non reworkable underfi

We are in the watch & clock Business. We have a Watch IC chip that has to be wirebonded using Ultrasonic aluminium wedge bonder. The wire dia is 1.25mil. The PCB is made of G10 Glass epoxy copper clad laminate. The copper thickness is 18 microns. The

Hi there. We are considering to attach die chip with solder paste to the pcb at the SMD line (we are used to attach it with silver epoxy at the die bonding line before). This is a whole new method to me, so I'd like to have some opinions here. Where
